Typically, people define themselves through their occupation - whether that’s their job or what they’re currently studying at university.

But I believe that you can only understand who I am by gaining an insight into multiple aspects of my life.

Who am I?

Academic background

I’m currently studying Medicine on a Graduate Entry course in London, which has an acceptance rate of less than 3%. Previously, I’ve completed an Undergraduate Degree (BSc with Honours) and Postgraduate Degree (PGDip) also in London.

This has given me years of experience in understanding the best way to learn, and knowing how to adapt my studying strategies for different subjects, as well as learning about how to improve my professional standing.

Personal background

I grew up in a less affluent area in East London. Having high ambitions wasn’t typical, and taking action to work towards them was even more rare. Despite this, I continuously work hard to beat expectations and become the person I aspire to be.

And this isn’t limited to my goal of becoming a good Doctor, but extends to everything I do; whether that’s going to the gym to achieve my dream physique, maintaining good mental health through mindfulness, self-practising the piano for over a decade to become better than I was before, or growing a YouTube channel to help millions of others - the list goes on.

My desire to better myself and those around me as part of my self-improvement journey is one that’s been a central part of my life for many years, and is what shaped the person I am today.

Studying and constantly ‘doing’ things isn’t all that there is to me.

I still make time to have a good social life, seeing my friends regularly and maintaining a good social network.

I also have other hobbies, notably playing video games and watching anime, playing tennis, or even going for a walk with a friend.

I believe that having the right balance and taking an active effort to avoid neglecting any aspect of life is essential for high-level productivity, so that you get more done in the limited time you have.
